The beaches are natural barriers created by the flow of the tides and by the sandy material transported by the great river, and they are often totally covered by the tidal waves that flow into the canals or the bays immediately behind. They restrain the violence of the waves that otherwise would infringe on the dams of the fish farms or would create imbalances in the internal lagoons.

They are formed by a very unstable sand, and therefore subject to constant change and evolution. There grow only reeds and pioneer bushes grow, the only ones able to withstand the extreme conditions of wind and saltiness. The place is extremely interesting for photographic purposes as well, especially in winter.

Beach of Boccasette (14 Km from the hotel)

It is a large and beautiful beach with soft golden sand, lying on the coastal insular cordon, a boundless perfectly intact place without any settlement, except for 4 bathhouses.

The beach lies on a natural sand bar or “scanno” with impressive sand dunes, at the ends of which there are colonies of oystercatcher.

The sea is very beautiful, light blue, transparent, with sandy and gently sloping seabed, ideal for swimming and bathing. The beach is accessible only by foot through a wooden bridge that connects the bank to the “scanno”, overlooking a typical valley of reeds and brackish water.
